Sculptra — rebuild collagen, lift jowls, restore volume
Sculptra is a biostimulator. Unlike dermal filler, which adds volume directly, Sculptra (poly-L-lactic acid) encourages your own skin to rebuild collagen — the structural protein that keeps skin firm, supported and lifted. Think of it less as filling a gap and more as restoring the scaffolding underneath. The result is gradual, natural-looking and very much still you — just firmer and more lifted.

How it helps jowls
Jowls appear because the mid-face loses volume and collagen with age, so the skin and soft tissue of the lower face lose their support and descend. Sculptra tackles that from the top down: by restoring collagen and support in the cheeks and mid-face, it re-supports the lower face, so the jawline looks sharper and jowls soften. It can also be placed along the jawline itself for extra definition.
What to expect
Your appointment starts with a consultation. Samantha looks at your face as a whole — not just the jowls — because treating the cause (lost support above) matters more than chasing the symptom. If Sculptra is right for you, treatment is a series of small injections with a fine needle or cannula, and you will be shown a quick massage routine to follow for a few days afterwards. Sculptra works as a course — usually a series of sessions spaced a few weeks apart, with the exact plan agreed at consultation. Results build gradually as new collagen forms, typically becoming visible over 4–6 weeks and continuing to improve over the months that follow, and can last up to two years.
Downtime
Very little. Some swelling, redness or bruising for a few days; most people are back to normal life the same day. The massage routine helps the product settle evenly.
Sculptra vs filler
They do different jobs. Filler replaces volume instantly in a specific spot — lips, cheeks, chin. Sculptra rebuilds collagen gradually across a wider area, improving firmness and lift over time. Many clients have both, for different concerns. Your consultation will work out which suits your face — and your goals — best.
